connect combo box to database for collection

 i want store data to database form combo box in vb2008

i want combo box pick value from another database, which contain two filed 

filed1 and filed2

filed2 value display combo box which i select,

filed1 contain number which i want store in database as below

   filed1     filed2

      1        abc

      2         def

      3         fgh

  if i select abc from combo box then i want 1 store in original data base

pls help me
