SQL with Windows Forms

I want to show in my program some rows of an external db.

I already connected my program to the db, but I don't know how to use the db.

eg.

SELECT * FROM table WHERE bool=true

how can I display now the row/s?

I know that usually you use datagrids, but look terrific.
